What is Stockinfoway?

Stockinfoway is a system that allows you to participate in the news, where Users submit stories to the site and other users decide if the story submitted gets to the front page or not based on their interest and view point on the story.

Do I have to register to see everything going on at Stockinfoway?

No. If all you want to do is read the story, you are plenty fine not registering.

What are the benefits of registering with Stockinfoway?

Registered users can submit stories, vote on Stockinfoway stories, comment on stories, keep track of like-thinking friends, and so forth.

How do I vote on a news story at Stockinfoway?

Easy. Click the vote button next to any story. If you are logged in, a menu will pop up that contains five voting categories - select one and click. Note: if you are not logged in, you can only provide anonymous votes - no true scoring for the unregistered.

Sometimes my votes seem to be worth more, and sometimes they seem to be worth less. What gives?

Votes are individually analyzed in order to apply the fairest score to each story and the source it emanates from. The score derived from one of your votes today may likely be different from the score applied tomorrow.

How do I submit a news story to Stockinfoway?

Another easy one. First, use site search to see if the news is already in the queue. Then, if you already have a URL you'd like to submit, copy it, then click the "Submit new story" tab under the "Take Action" menu box in the upper left hand corner of your screen. We'll hold your hand through the rest. If you're one to surf the web looking for stories, you might want to grab our quick-post bookmarklet, located in the Tools & Stuff box at the bottom of the page.

Stockinfoway's news is broken down into various categories to best fit news from various sources, If you still don't get it, no problem. Just categorize as you best see fit - the system makes periodic adjustments when it gathers source information. We may be adding new categories in the future as well.

What does "beta" mean?

Beta means we just launched, have done a lot of work, and expect to do more. Beta means we will be tweaking the interface, and we'll be tweaking the algorithms. Beta means things might not be perfect, and we welcome feedback. Beta also means that if you decide feedback is cracking our heads on your personal Blog, and you decide to say things like "the system is rigged" and all that jazz that "shoot-from-the-hip" types have a tendency to do, then we will simply prove your wrong by fixing what you really don't like. If you wind up looking and/or sounding like a moron as a result, that's not our problem. If you don't like that either, then you better read theTerms of Service again.
