Sanju Verma, ED, HDFC Securities, feels HDFC Bank and Axis Bank stand out in the private banks space because of their operational performance. However, she is disappointed with ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. She further statee the degrowth in deposits is alarming; banks may need to dig into their internal accruals and investments, she said.
